Abstract

This article examines the evolution of Brazilian companies in the global
market, focusing on the internationalization process and the challenges encountered.
Initially, Brazilian companies were driven to expand beyond national borders due to
market needs and resource optimization. National development strategies played a crucial role in integrating these companies into the global market. The text explores strategic
milestones in internationalization, such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic
partnerships, and the importance of market research. Operational challenges, including
legal obstacles, supply chain complexities, and cultural and linguistic barriers, are also
discussed. The financing of international expansion is analyzed, covering funding sources
and exchange rate risk management. The role of technology is highlighted as a key enabler
of internationalization, particularly through e-commerce, digital transformation, and Big
Data utilization. Human resource management in a global context, including the
importance of cultural diversity and expatriate management, is presented as essential for
international success. The article also discusses the sustainable growth of Brazilian
companies, emphasizing corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental
sustainability. Finally, future trends in internationalization, such as the impact of emerging
markets, geopolitical changes, and the use of artificial intelligence, are explored.
