Abstract

This article investigates the interconnection between aviation regulation and the ISO 9001 standard, highlighting the impact of this integration on aircraft maintenance, safety, and compliance in the aviation sector. The regulations established by agencies such as ANAC, FAA, and EASA define essential technical and operational requirements for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. ISO 9001, in turn, provides a framework for quality management, ensuring that maintenance organizations follow standardized practices and continuous improvement. The research adopts an exploratory approach, reviewing relevant academic and regulatory literature, aiming to demonstrate how this integration can promote operational safety and customer satisfaction. The original contribution of this study lies in the detailed analysis of the benefits of this integration, illustrating how the joint application of these standards can optimize maintenance processes and elevate safety standards in aviation. Furthermore, the work points to future research pathways, suggesting the need for studies on the adaptation of new technologies and the impact of regulatory changes on the effectiveness of quality management systems. It concludes that the integration of regulation and ISO 9001 is strategic for ensuring operational excellence and competitiveness in the aviation sector.,
