The research analyzes the allocation and budget execution of the National Film Agency (ANCINE) over the last decade, aiming to understand trends and identify priority areas and the strategic focus of the Brazilian audiovisual sector. An exploratory, descriptive, and analytical investigation was conducted using open data from the Federal Budget Portal (SIGA Brasil). The original contribution lies in highlighting ANCINE's role in strengthening national cinema, filling a gap in the literature and offering insights for policymakers. It was concluded that there were significant variations in resource allocation and a prioritization of capital expenditures in "commercial promotion" and "cultural diffusion," indicating a strategic focus on the expansion of Brazilian cinema in both domestic and international markets for ensuring operatio nal excellence and competitiveness in the aviation sector.
