Abstract

The current scenario presents unprecedented and disruptive challenges for the job market. These include a BANI (fragile, anxious, non-linear and incomprehensible) world, the alarming statistics of a mental health epidemic and demands for more sustainable business practices. In this context, happiness at work presents itself as a powerful management strategy. The objective of this study is to analyze how creating a culture of well-being and happiness at work generates positive impacts on engagement and sustainable results for the business. To this end, a bibliographical review was carried out through the selection of relevant literature, capable of providing a consistent theoretical basis. To enrich the analysis, bringing a direct perspective from workers, and understanding what generates the perception of happiness at work, a data collection was carried out with a small sample of 60 subjects. The findings were interpreted in light of theory and it was identified how a culture of well-being can impact engagement and generate sustainable results for the organization. Based on this data, management practices were suggested to be implemented to cultivate a genuine and sustainable culture of well-being.,
