This work presents an evolution of the tile since the beginning of the primary
times passing through the Roman Empire, the Assyrians, Europe, Colonial Brazil and the
current days with the development of materials and techniques used in manufacturing.
Describes the different types of tiles such as Concrete, Ceramics, Glass, Translucent,
Polycarbonate, Galvanized and Thermoacoustic. It is characterized as tiles with their
specificities, different models and shapes, structuring of materials used in their
composition, water absorption, impermeability, weight, cost-benefit, wear, relationship
with Technical Norms (NBR), as they are regulated and as advantages and advantages in
civil construction. A theoretical relationship is drawn with tests on galvanized
thermoacoustic tiles and as fiberglass thermoacoustic tiles. In the thermoacoustic tiles we
emphasize the fillings of EPS (Expandable Polystyrene), PU (Polyurethane) and Rock
Wool and also as their characteristics and applicability. Aiming at thermal and acoustic
performance through tests performed under representative conditions, construction
objects and technical equipment. The methodology used was descriptive quantitative
exploratory bibliographic research, developed through textbooks, books, monographs and
computerized searches. The results achieved in the thermal and acoustic efficiencies of
fiberglass thermoacoustic tiles and galvanized thermoacoustic tiles are clarified and their
position in the current market from the perspective of the industry
