Abstract

The work presents an analysis of the situation of single mothers in the job
market, highlighting the difficulties they face in balancing their family and professional
responsibilities, highlighting that single mothers often face obstacles, such as a lack of
emotional and financial support of a partner, which can result in greater pressure on these
mothers. To help single mothers find stability in the job market, the work presents
practical solutions, such as creating affordable, quality child care assistance programs,
that will help alleviate the financial burden associated with work for these mothers.
Furthermore, the text highlights the importance of establishing and strengthening paid
parental leave policies, ensuring that single mothers have the support they need to balance
their family and professional responsibilities. The work also highlights the importance of
promoting an inclusive corporate culture and combating discrimination in the workplace
based on maternity. Strengthening penalties for companies that discriminate against or
discourage single mothers during the hiring process is an important measure. Additionally,
educational and training initiatives can be implemented to develop job skills and increase
employment opportunities for single mothers.
