Our research aims to evaluate the impacts of critical thinking on the role played
by lawyers within the legal system. It seeks to define what critical thinking is and provide
examples of some methods that can be used by professionals striving to develop this skill.
Thus, our research aims to highlight the importance and sensitivity of the work carried out
by lawyers and how the development of critical thinking can prevent this professional from
potential liability in civil and/or administrative spheres. Therefore, through bibliographic
research, substantiated by consulting doctrines, laws, articles, and scientific journals, we conclude that critical thinking is a predominant factor for providing efficient and safe
services, enabling the professional to continuously evolve.
