Abstract

There are challenges for women in occupying leadership positions, particularly
in large companies. Currently there is still an under-representation of women in
directorships, presidency and administrative council positions, which is where gender
inequality is evident, and in this research gender diversity within companies will be
analyzed and the benefits that the company has to bring more women into highly
influential positions in the organization. It is extremely important to address this issue in
society, so that it can stimulate the development of companies and promote representation
based on respect and equality. To prepare this work, an analysis of several bibliographical
research on the subject was carried out and structured interviews were carried out with a
rigid script, collecting information from five women who work in leadership positions, in
which their visions and experiences can be identified for a better analysis and an in-depth
understanding of the subject. The interview was essential for understanding women and
their journey facing gender diversity within companies. The focus of this project is on
transmitting an extensive understanding of how gender diversity within companies can
positively impact decisions through the active voice of women, occupying senior and
highly important positions, encouraging continuous advancement towards an
environment of more inclusive, effective and equitable work. Despite these impacts, there
are still challenges faced by women seeking strategic positions. Prejudices and
stereotypes, as well as the leadership style traditionally associated with men, can be
obstacles. However, inclusive actions and inspiring examples are helping to transform this
reality and build a more balanced and diverse job market. Through research and

interviews, it can be observed that gender diversity within companies is essential for their
success, since female leadership brings numerous benefits to the company, which will be
addressed and discussed in detail throughout this search. However, the rise of women to
leadership positions is not only a business issue, but also a social one, considering that
this group is in an unfavorable position in relation to men
