Abstract

A topic of extreme relevance to society will be addressed. It refers to the
percentage of black women in leadership positions in business and why it is lower
compared to other index concepts. It deals with a topic in constant evolution, having an
important aspect in the search for equality and diversity in contemporary organizations.
This study will provide an in-depth exploration of the experiences, challenges and
perspectives lived by black women as leaders, drawing on the significant contributions of
scholars and professionals dedicated to understanding this reality. The main goal is to
transcend statistics and delve into the depths of the experiences of black women in
leadership roles. In order to create strategies that encourage the professional advancement
of these leadership figures, but for this result, it is necessary to understand the reasons
behind this underrepresentation. Bringing perspectives from published studies, books by
women sharing their experience, interviews and analysis of the current scenario, aiming
to gain knowledge of why these rates remain lower than expected. More than just seeking
equity, this study takes a critical position in relation to social and corporate changes
